A Duncannon man is being held in Perry County Prison after police say he sexually assaulted a teenage girl.
John Thomas Swanzy, 25, is charged with seven counts each of felony statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, unlawful contact with minors, corruption of minors and misdemeanor indecent assault of a person less than 16 years of age, according to court records.
On Oct. 18, police said they were informed that Swanzy had sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Criminal records show the assaults began or occurred in May.
Charges against Swanzy were filed Tuesday and he was arrested the same day, according to police.
He is being held in Perry County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Jan. 12 in front of Magisterial District Judge Elizabeth Frownfelter.
Swanzy is not listed on the Pennsylvania sex offender registry.
