The mother of a Mount Holly Springs man who died of a drug overdose has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and possession with intent to deliver, Mount Holly Springs Borough Police announced Monday.

The charges stem from the Christmas Day death of Timothy Brandt, who was found dead in his home in the 200 block of North Baltimore Avenue. An autopsy said Brandt died of acute fentanyl toxicity.

Police said Brandt had contacted his mother, Vonda Green, 56, of Gardners, who agreed to trade her pain medication prescription for heroin.

Police said Maurice Jones of Carlisle met with Brandt and Green and delivered the heroin that resulted in Brandt’s death. Jones had been arrested last week and charged with drug delivery resulting in death.

Green was charged Monday with involuntary manslaughter and delivery of a controlled substance, and she was released on $25,000 unsecured bail. Police said Green is cooperating with the investigation.
