A Newville man faces a felony theft charge stemming from failure to pay tolls over the course of about two years, according to the Cumberland County District Attorney's Office.
Thomas Campbell, 25, was charged Wednesday with theft of services after the county said he failed to make toll payments after traveling on the Pennsylvania Turnpike 76 times between July 22, 2015, and Aug. 17, 2017.
The DA's office said tolls and fees totaled $4,943.95.
Campbell was arraigned Wednesday in front of Magisterial District Judge Paul Fegley, who set bail at $1,000 unsecured.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 6 in front of Fegley.
