The Cumberland County Republican Committee on Saturday announced it has closed on the purchase of a new headquarters, which is located at 212 N. Hanover St., Carlisle.
The new headquarters will be called “The Republican House,” the committee said.
“The purchase of our headquarters is a historic event for our committee,” said Lou Capozzi, chairman of the Cumberland County GOP. “The headquarters will provide our volunteers and state, local and federal candidates with a centralized base of operations, which will in turn allow us to increase Republican representation at every level of government. This is an asset owned by the Cumberland County Republican Committee that everyone can be proud of.”
Once the headquarters is operational, the committee said it will provide voters with a variety of services, including voter registration, information on candidates and issues, as well as literature for distribution.
The headquarters will also be used for phone banks and will provide rental space for local, state and federal candidates. The committee said it plans to host events, including candidate meet-and-greets, debate watch parties and rallies.
The committee said it is planning a grand opening celebration and holiday party at the headquarters in December.
