An increased police presence was expected at Carlisle High School Tuesday after students discovered "an alarming message" on social media Monday afternoon, according to a message emailed to parents by the high school principal.
"School officials and school police immediately began an investigation and coordinated efforts with the Carlisle Police Department," principal Michael Black wrote in the email. "The investigation is ongoing at this time. We applaud the students that reported the social media post and encourage students to always report situations that may impact their safety and the safety of our School Community."
He also said students were likely to notice an increased presence of school and Carlisle Police over the next few days.
