HAMPDEN TWP. — The Hampden Township supervisors have conditionally approved the preliminary land development and subdivision plan for a proposed 22-home development at the township’s western edge.
The Oaks development would subdivide 23.481 acres west of Lambs Gap Road into 22 lots for single-family residential dwelling units, said Township Manager Keith Metts.
The township’s planning commission had recommended the approval, Metts said. The preliminary plan requires the developer to accept several standard conditions, but nothing out of the ordinary, he said.
“This was an easy plan to approve,” township Commissioner Al Bienstock said.
The developer still must submit a final land development plan, which will be presented at a future meeting, Metts said.
Correction: Due to a reporting error, an earlier version of this story incorrectly listed the acreage of the proposed The Oaks development. The development would include 23.481 acres. The Sentinel regrets the error.
