South Middleton Township’s annual Health and Information Fair for seniors is scheduled for Wednesday.
The fair will be from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Public Works Building behind the Township Building at 520 Park Drive, Boiling Springs.
Free screenings will be available for residents who are 55 or older. UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle will offer tests for glucose and cholesterol. Brown Optical and Hearing Aid Service will provide hearing tests, and Stoken Wagner Ophthalmology will offer vision screenings. Cumberland Goodwill EMS and Yellow Breeches EMS will take blood pressure.
Walmart Pharmacy will offer flu shots. Those who want flu shots should bring their insurance or Medicare cards so Walmart can bill the insurer.

Representatives from state Rep. Torren Ecker and state Sen. Mike Regan’s of
- Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department, which will have the Senior ID card available
- bingo starting at 2:45 p.m.
- Karns coupons
- Boiling Springs Lions Club, which will collect eyeglasses.
Also, more than 30 organizations will be on hand to provide information on senior issues, including health, insurance, volunteering, downsizing and home safety.The event is co-sponored by UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle, Cumberland County Office of Aging & Community Services and Ecker.
