Central Penn College will host its first-ever Family Flicks film series that presents a free movie for children every third Saturday during the winter season.

All shows are matinees that screen from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Capital BlueCross Theatre at the college's Summerdale campus.

All movies are open to the public and free. Popcorn will also be free.

“We wanted to do something fun for parents and kids of all ages,” said Adrienne Thoman, activities director at the college. “And we wanted to make it affordable, too, because so many kid-friendly activities aren’t always wallet-friendly.”

"The House with a Clock in its Walls" launches the series on Saturday, Dec. 15.

The schedule continues with "Smallfoot" on Jan. 19, "A Wrinkle in Time" on Feb. 16 and "Wreck-It Ralph 2" on March 16.
