Thomas G. Henry, 77, of Newville, passed away Friday, August 23, 2019 at his home. He was born on September 5, 1941 in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania and was the son of the late Melvin C. and Dorothy (Booher) Henry.
Tom attended Captain Jack High School in Mount Union, PA and went on to serve in the United States Air Force. He was a United States Marshal until his retirement in 1991. In his early career, he served as White House Uniformed Secret Service and on the D.C. Metropolitan Police Force. Tom was a founding member of the Boiling Springs Civic Association, and a member of the Letort Regional Authority. He was an avid fly fisherman and a military history buff.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Josephine (Mowery) Henry, two daughters, Beth Nank of Alexandria, VA and Amy Knouse, of Newville, PA, one son, Richard Henry, of Spring Mills, PA, and eight grandchildren: Paige, Reagan and Lauren Nank; Emma and Jake Knouse; Simon and Phoebe Henry, and Ryley Kirk. He is also survived by four sisters—Joanne Hicks, Dianna Snyder, Ruth “Penny” Homolash and Nancy Chilcote. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Donna McElrath and Sharon Welch.
A private memorial will be held at his home for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations be made to the Boiling Springs Civic Association, PO Box 362. Boiling Springs, PA 17007.
