Sara Jane (Sally) Otto, 86, of Carlisle, and a lifelong resident of South Middleton Twp. passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Cumberland Crossings, Carlisle.
Born February 18, 1933 in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Jessie (Thrush) Reffner and the widow of Harold E. Otto who passed on June 29, 2018.
Mrs. Otto was a member of Carlisle United Methodist Church (formerly Grace UM Church) for 70 years and the Thelma McCullough Sunday school Class, the United Methodist Women, Knitted in Love. She was also a member of NARFE and the former Boiling Springs Golden Age Club.
She was a 1951 graduate of Boiling Springs High School and had been employed at Farmer’s Trust Co. and was a school bus driver for South Middleton School District.

Surviving are two sons: Dennis Otto (Mona) of Mechanicsburg and Kevin Otto (Dianne) of Boiling Springs; a sister: Patricia Derr of Boiling Springs; grandchildren: Andrew Otto (Emily), Katie Ritter (Zach), Jillian Otto and Joshua Otto; great grandchildren: Lily, David and Charlie Otto and Caroline and John Ritter; two nieces: Lisa Wingert of York and Doreen Mullen of Carlisle.
Services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Carlisle United Methodist Church, 45 S. West Street, Carlisle, with the Rev. James VanZandt officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 10:00 A. M. until time of service. Burial will be private in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Boiling Springs.
