Sandra Miller

Sandra L. (Livengood) Miller, age 78, formerly of Carlisle, PA, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018 in Manor Care Arcadia, Chambersburg, PA, after an extended illness. Born May 22, 1940, in Shanksville, PA, She was the daughter of Hazel and Samuel (Ozzie) Livengood.

Sandra graduated from Shanksville-Stoneycreek High School in 1958. She trained and worked as a hairdresser for many years. She spent a number of years in retail sales before working as a secretary for Daily Trucking. Sandra retired from Carlisle Hospital after serving as the second-shift switchboard operator for 18 years. After retiring, she took on a part-time job in after-school child care at the Carlisle Christian School.

Sandra enjoyed spending time with her family and friends including her three children and four grandsons. She enjoyed working in her yard and garden. She enjoyed the Christmas holiday immensely, and always decorated her home in the true spirit of the season.

Sandra is survived by a sister, Marilyn Ogline and husband Jim, of Friedens, PA, brother David Livengood and wife Vickie of Somerset, PA, son Mark Miller of Greencastle, PA, daughter Kelly Robbins and husband Tim of England, and daughter Julie Gutshall and husband Keith, of Carlisle, PA. She is also survived by grandsons B J Hairston, Brandon Hairston, Bryce Miller, and Ryan Miller, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Sandra was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Livengood, and father, Samuel Livengood.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at the Mount Holly Springs

Church of God, 602 McLand Drive, Mount Holly Springs, PA 17065. The family will receive

friends at 10AM, with services beginning at 11 AM. Sandra wished to be cremated, and her interment will be at the convenience of the family.
