Richard Hunt Baldwin, 96, of Carlisle, died on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 in Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle. He was born on June 29, 1923 in Allentown and was a son of the late COL (Ret) Aubrey H. Baldwin, Sr., US Army and Helen Bertram (Galbraith) Baldwin. Richard was married to the late Anna J. (Mentzer) Baldwin who died March 16, 2000.
Richard graduated from high school in Dayton, OH. He began his working life with his late brother Alpheus at Hilltop Farm, the family farm, located north of Carlisle. He later went to work and retired from AMP Inc. after 35 years of service in the Carlisle and Harrisburg locations. Richard was a member of Monaghan Presbyterian Church, Dillsburg, PA where he served in various capacities and a long-time member of the Williams Grove Steam Engine Assoc. His enjoyment was restoring farm tractors, trucks and attending country music jams. Richard also enjoyed the many good times he and his family spent at the log cabin he built using timber from the property near Mt. Holly Springs.

He is survived by one son, Anthony W. "Tony" (wife, Cathy) Baldwin of Carlisle, one daughter, Jane L. (husband, Francis) Zulli of Middletown, three grandsons; Brian, Alexander and Nicola Zulli, seven great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers; Aubrey Jr., Bertram, and Alpheus Baldwin.
A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Bishop Vernal Simms, Sr., Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
