Lorraine Mae Zeigler (Bell) passed away at her Falling Springs home near Landisburg on Friday, February 8, 2019.

The daughter of the late Leroy J. Bell and Helen (Harshbarger) Bell, she was introduced to the world by Dr. Blaine Bartho at the family home located near Big Buffalo Creek and the railroad tracks at the upper end of Front Street in Newport on December 28, 1937.

She attended Newport Schools for her elementary and middle school years. Then, the family moved to Landisburg where she completed her high school education as a member of the first graduating class of Green Park Union High School in 1955.

She was predeceased by her parents, sister, Lois Hill, and brother, George Bell. She is survived by her husband, Jack L. Zeigler; son, Donald of Mississippi; daughter, Susan DelGatto (Jerry) and their daughter, Ariana of New Jersey; sisters, Virginia Sheriff of Landisburg and Dorothy Gilbert of Loysville; aunt, Ruth McGowan of New Bloomfield and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at a later date. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorial contributions are requested to Heartland Hospice, 1200 Walnut Bottom Road #302, Carlisle, PA 17013 or Mt. Zion Free Lutheran Church, 800 Falling Springs Road, Landisburg, PA 17040 or New Hope United Church of Christ, 108 S. Carlisle Street, Landisburg, PA 17040.
