Ivan Blair Walker Jr., 77, of Carlisle, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at his home.
He was born November 1, 1941 in Waynesboro, VA to the late Ivan Blair Sr. and Annie Kathryn (Barton) Walker. He lived most of his youth in Jennersville, PA where his father was a pastor. He earned a degree in psychology from Elizabethtown College.
Blair loved music, singing, his spiritual life, and most of all his family. He was a member of the Carlisle Musical Arts Club and Carlisle First Church of the Brethren where he served as a deacon. Blair was formerly employed by Kinney Shoe Corp., Quaker Oats and retired from Knouse Foods.
He is survived by three children, Kimberly Walker (husband John II) Hutcheson, Jennifer Walker and Mark (wife Cas) Walker all of Carlisle; five grandchildren, Elly, Camille, Lily, Nona, and Kile; his ex-wife, Gay Walker of Carlisle; three sisters, Florence Ann Huber of Philadelphia, Mary (husband Dan) Snyder of Dover, DE, and Lois (husband Bob) Roy of Avondale; one sister-in-law, Shirley Walker of Lititz; and friend, Linda Wilson of Carlisle. Blair is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Wheeler Walker and his brother-in-law, Ed Huber.

A memorial service celebrating Blair's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Carlisle First Church of the Brethren with Pastor Jerry Underkoffler officiating. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church.
