Gordon A. Windowmaker

Gordon A. Windowmaker, age 93, of Boiling Springs, passed away Monday, December 25, 2017 at the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle with his loving daughter by his side.
He was born February 25, 1924 in Gardners to the late Erma Windowmaker and was the widower of Nedra C. (Shuff) Windowmaker who passed April 2, 2010.
Gordon retired from the former PR Hoffman Crystal plant after 40 years of service and had worked at the Giant grocery store. He was a longtime member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle. Gordon loved to dance and he and his wife Nedra were often found on a Saturday night dancing the night away. He also loved flower and vegetable gardening and loved to share his harvest with his neighbors and friends.
He is survived by: a daughter, Sherry D. Goodyear of Boiling Springs; three nieces, Joyce Raudabaugh of Carlisle, Vivian (husband Irvin) Croft of Gardners and Linda (husband Sam) Little of Carlisle; his beloved dog, Lassie; and several grand-nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Gordon was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles “Barney” Windowmaker and Tony “Tuck” (and his wife Evelyn) Windowmaker and a sister, Minnie Snavely.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Robert Seibold officiating. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family at Westminster Cemetery. There will be a visitation following the services at the funeral home.
