Carol Wickard

Carol A. Wickard, 66, passed away October 10, 2019 after a short and fearless battle. Cancer took over her body, but not her spirit and spunk. Carol passed embraced in the love of the family that she and her husband of 47 years, Bill, had nourished and nurtured. She was born on July 10, 1953 in Mt. Holly Springs and was the daughter of the late Glenn A. Adams, Sr. and Winifred A. (Stoner) Adams.

You didn’t need to be related for Carol to consider you family. She leaves behind her husband William (Bill), their sons Jason (& partner Charlene Stofko), and William (& wife Kristen), a brother, Glen Adams, Jr. (& partner Tammy Myers). Carol loved to spoil her grandkids Taylor, Mia, Sophie, Anya, Nadia, Will, & Sydney. She also loved in life numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who she considered her family.

Carol worked for Big Spring School District as an Instructional Aide in multiple buildings and treasured friendships she cultivated there. Carol had one goal at Big Spring as well as in life, to help anyone she could. After Carol retired in 2013, she anticipated seasonal home decorating, gardening, and being Grammie.

Gift shopping, crafting, and cooking were how she most often showed her love to those that she adored. She enjoyed dining out with friends and family and would never turn down a Starbucks Frape. Regardless of what she was doing, Carol was always dressed with a smile. If it was laughing over memories with family, or sharing recipes with friends in Saylor’s, Carol poured herself into friendships. Carol loved our Lord, she loved life, and she loved her life.
