Community photo: Local quilter makes quilt for Craighead House

Local quilter Ann Haymade a Burgoyne surrounded quilt specifically for Craighead House and donated it to be raffled off to raise funds to preserve the house. The Burgoyne surrounded pattern was selected because of the Craighead family’s heavy involvement in the Revolutionary War. Blue was chosen as the dominant color because of its popularity. Hay selected the cloth patterns to be used in the quilt and its elaborate border. With the border, the quilt is an over-sized queen size that could be used on some king size beds. The quilt is on display at Village Artisans Gallery in Boiling Springs.
