Don’t miss a program of exciting, poetic and colorful piano music from the Romantic era brought to life by a pianist at the height of his powers!  Mark Markham, a recital partner of the legendary soprano Jessye Norman for two decades, will perform music of Debussy, Rachmaninoff and Scriabin, as well as Liszt’s Sonata in B Minor, considered by many one of the most challenging works in the entire piano repertoire.  The Baltimore Sun recently hailed his performance of this work as “…profoundly musical return to the grand manner in which Liszt’s B minor Sonata used to be played.”

This performance is part of a residency which includes solo appearances on March 17 & 18 with the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra at the forum as well as a voice masterclass on March 19, 5 pm and a piano masterclass on March 20, 4 pm at Messiah College High Center, High Foundation Recital Hall.
