Hobby Lobby Stores Inc. is set to open a new store in Hampden Township with construction underway on a 56,000 square-foot building formerly occupied by Kmart on Carlisle Park and Brondle Boulevard.
The Hampden Township store is projected to open in early June. The location will bring about 35–50 jobs to the community paying $15.70 per hour for full-time and $10.45 per hour for part-time associates.
“We offer a wide and ever-changing variety of craft and home decor products including many exclusive Hobby Lobby brands,” said Kelly Black, director of advertising. “First-time shoppers in Mechanicsburg will be pleasantly surprised at the store size and the exceptional service provided by our trained associates.”
Hobby Lobby stores offer more than 70,000 crafting and home decor products including floral, fabric, needle art, custom framing, baskets, home accents, wearable art, arts and crafts, jewelry making, scrapbooking and paper crafting supplies. Store hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Hobby Lobby stores are closed on Sunday.
