NOTICE OF MUNICIPAL PRIMARY
Tuesday, May 18, 2021
7:00am to 8:00pm
The political parties eligible to nominate their candidates at the Municipal Primary are:
Democratic
Republican
In accordance with the provisions of the Pennsylvania Election Code, notice is hereby given that the Municipal
Primary will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from 7:00am until 8:00pm at the voting places for each voting district in
Cumberland County, PA.
The following are the public offices and number to be nominated in the Municipal Primary to be elected at the
Municipal Election on November 2, 2021:
Petitions to have the names of candidates for these offices printed on the respective party ballots must be filed with the
Secretary of the Commonwealth, Harrisburg, PA, on or before March 9, 2021 by 5:00pm. Blank nomination petitions to
have a name printed on the official ballot may be obtained from the PA Department of State, Harrisburg, PA.
• Justice of the Supreme Court - 1
• Judge of the Superior Court - 1
• Judge of the Commonwealth Court – 2
• Judge of the Court of Common Pleas – 1
Petitions to have the names of candidates for these offices printed on the respective party ballots must be filed with the
Cumberland County Bureau of Elections, 1601 Ritner Highway, Suite 201, Carlisle, PA 17013, on or before March 9, 2021
by 4:30pm. Blank nomination petitions to have a name printed on the official ballot may be obtained from the Cumberland
County Bureau of Elections.

Voter Registration Deadline:
May 3, 2021, 4:30pm – Last day to register, change address, change party and/or change name before the Municipal
Primary.
Absentee & Mail-In Voting Deadlines:
May 11, 2021, 5:00pm – Last day before the Municipal Primary in which civilian Absentee Ballot or Mail-In Ballot
Applications may be received in the office of the Cumberland County Bureau of Elections.
May 18, 2021, 8:00pm – Voted civilian Absentee and Mail-In Ballots must be received in the office of the Cumberland
County Bureau of Elections.
May 25, 2021, 5:00pm – Voted military & civilians overseas Absentee Ballots must be received in the office of the
Cumberland County Bureau of Elections; must have been postmarked by May 17, 2021.
Notice is hereby given pursuant to P.L. 98-435 that all polling places in Cumberland County are accessible to the elderly
and handicapped. A statewide telecommunications device for the deaf and hearing impaired (TDD users) will be in
operation through the AT&T PA Relay Center for the General Primary. The toll free number is 1-800-690-7784.
