HARRISBURG — Wirkin Estevez allowed just three hits over six innings, leading the Harrisburg Senators over the Altoona Curve in a 2-1 win on Friday.
Estevez allowed one run while striking out five and walking one.
Altoona got on the board first in the third inning, scoring on a solo home run by Christian Kelley.
The Senators tied the game in the seventh inning when Zach Collier hit an RBI double, bringing home Kelvin Gutierrez.
The Senators took the lead for good in the eighth when Gutierrez hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Taylor Gushue.
Logan Darnell (2-0) got the win with a scoreless inning in relief while Yeudy Garcia (0-1) took the loss in the Eastern League game. Austen Williams struck out the side for his first save of the season.
