AKRON, Ohio — Jose Marmolejos hit a run-scoring single in the seventh inning, and Khayyan Norfork had three hits and scored two runs as the Harrisburg Senators beat the Akron RubberDucks 6-3 on Wednesday.

The single by Marmolejos, part of a three-run inning, gave the Senators a 3-2 lead before Raudy Read hit a two-run double later in the inning.

The RubberDucks cut into the deficit in the eighth inning when Bobby Bradley hit an RBI single.

The Senators later tacked on two runs in the ninth when Marmolejos hit an RBI double to secure the victory.

Akron missed an additional scoring opportunity in the eighth, when Dorssys Paulino struck out with the bases loaded to end the inning.

Starter Kyle McGowin (1-5) got the win while D.J. Brown (1-7) took the loss in relief in the Eastern League game. Matt Crownover pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings for his first save of the season.
