TRENTON, N.J. — Bryan Harper struck Vicente Conde out with the bases loaded to end the game, leading the Harrisburg Senators to a 4-2 win over the Trenton Thunder on Wednesday.
The win snapped a five-game losing streak for the Senators and a four-game winning streak for the Thunder.
Harrisburg starter Luis Reyes (1-2) picked up the win after he allowed two runs and three hits over six innings. He also struck out three and walked three. Justus Sheffield (1-2) went six innings, allowing three runs and four hits in the Eastern League game. He also struck out eight and walked one.
Trenton cut the deficit to 3-2 in the fourth after Chris Gittens hit a two-run home run.
The Senators extended their lead in the seventh inning when Austin Davidson hit a solo home run.
Davidson homered and singled twice, driving home two runs in the win.
Gittens homered and singled, driving home two runs for the Thunder.
