ALTOONA — Cole Tucker homered and had two hits, and Austin Coley allowed just five hits over seven innings as the Altoona Curve defeated the Harrisburg Senators 6-0 on Sunday.
Coley (6-4) struck out two and walked one to pick up the win.
Altoona took the lead in the first when Jordan George hit an RBI single and then scored on a two-run triple by Casey Hughston.
The Curve later added single runs in the second, third and seventh innings to finish off the shutout.
Austin Voth (3-4) went six innings, allowing five runs and nine hits while striking out eight in the Eastern League game.
The Senators were blanked for the 12th time this season, while the Curve's staff recorded their ninth shutout of the year.
Harrisburg 4, Altoona 3
ALTOONA — Corban Joseph hit a two-run homer in the ninth inning, leading the Harrisburg Senators to a 4-3 win over the Altoona Curve in Saturday's resumed game.
Andrew Robinson struck Michael Suchy out with a runner on first to end the game for his 13th save of the season.
The home run by Joseph scored Khayyan Norfork and was the game's last scoring play.
Brady Dragmire (5-1) got the win in relief while Johnny Hellweg (0-1) took the loss in the Eastern League game.
Stranding 14 men on base, the Curve did not take advantage of some good scoring chances in the loss. Cole Tucker singled twice, also stealing two bases for the Curve. Jin-De Jhang singled three times.
