HERSHEY — Mathias Bau continued his hot hand, scoring twice, to lead the Hershey Bears to a 6-1 victory over the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in front of 10,295 fans on Saturday night at Giant Center.

Chris Bourque and Travis Boyd each notched three assists in the victory, and Pheonix Copley stopped 24 shots in goal on a night Hershey wore USA-themed jerseys as part of Hometown Heroes Night.

The Bears posted a field goal in the opening period, with the first goal coming from Hershey captain Garrett Mitchell.

Copley was solid in goal earning his third win of the season, only surrendering a Greg Carey power play marker with eight minutes to play. The Bears outshot the Phantoms 33-25 in the win.

The Bears go for a fourth straight win Sunday night versus Wilkes-Barre/Scranton at 5 p.m. It's David A. Smith Printing Team Photo Night for the first 5,000 fans and Team Autograph Night after the game. It's also Dietz & Watson Dollar Dog Night. Ticket information is available at HersheyBears.com.
