The Mid-Penn Elite Youth Football Association is holding an event fundraiser to raise money for childhood cancer research.

The First Annual Elite JV Football Fun Day will be held on Saturday, rain or shine, at 10 a.m. at Stony Ridge Park in Carlisle.

Donations will be accepted at the gate with values of $2 for individuals, $5 for families and $50 to $1,000 or more for "super heroes who want to eradicate childhood cancer."

All JV football teams who have participated in the MPEYFA JV regular season are invited to compete in challenges, including tug-of-war, relay races, coaches relay, kicking competition and sportsmanship competitions. The winner of the events will get to present the donation check to the childhood cancer organization of their choice.

Field location and concessions for the event are sponsored by the Cumberland Valley Midget Football Association.
