• University of Massachusetts tight end Adam Breneman, a Cedar Cliff and Penn State grad, has accepted an invitation to play in the 2018 Reese’s Senior Bowl. In his 2017 season, Breneman has 58 receptions for 715 yards and 11 TDs.
  • Messiah women's basketball player Leah Springer, a Camp Hill grad, was named the MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week after leading the Falcons to a 3-0 start. Springer averaged 19.3 points, 9.67 rebounds and shot 56 percent from the field during the week.
  • Messiah women's basketball moved to 4-0 on the season after a 76-62 win over Eastern University. Falcons head coach Mike Miller picked up win No. 600 becoming the sixth coach in Division III history to reach 600 wins. Kaitlyn Hoff and Leah Springer led the team on offense with 23 points each, while Springer also had her second double-double of the season with 13 rebounds. Hannah Brown added nine points for Messiah and Maci Thornton scored eight.
