No. 3-seeded Shippensburg field hockey defeated No. 2 East Stroudsburg 2-1 to advance to the NCAA Division III Championship game at 11 a.m. Sunday where they face off against LIU Post, a rematch of last year's national championship game. The Raiders needed only two goals in the first half from Mary Spisak, a Boiling Springs alumna, and Emily Barnard. The Shippensburg defense did not allow a shot for the remainder of the game after ESU's Bailey Quinn scored at the 48:34 mark of the second half.
Kristin Donohue notched the game-winner at the 46th minute of the second half to propel No. 3 Messiah field hockey to a 1-0 win over No. 3 The College of New Jersey in the NCAA Division II semifinals. The win gets the Falcons into their 10th National Championship game final in program history. The Falcons await the winner of No. 2 Middlebury College and No. 10 Franklin & Marshall College.
Messiah men's basketball got the win 88-59 over Wilson College behind 23 points from Neil Murren who went 5-for-7 behind the arc. Matt Glogowski and Nate Eberle both scored 12 points each in the win, while Josh Darville had 10 rebounds.
