Dickinson senior and Hamburg product Kassidy Lesher finished her collegiate women's basketball career as the Centennial Conference Player of the Week after she averaged 25 points and 15.5 rebounds in two games last week. She had a career-high 27 points against Franklin & Marshall, and her 14 boards that day put her into the Top 10 in career rebounding in Centennial history.
Dickinson freshman pole vaulter Kacper Rzempoluch was named the Centennial Conference Men's Co-Field Athlete of the Week along with Swarthmore's Daniel Belkin. Rzempoluch cleared 4-4 meters to win at the Susquehanna Invitational this weekend.
Shippensburg High School product and current Millersville junior pitcher Cordell Shannon went 1-0 with a 3.27 ERA over 11 innings and was named the PSAC Eastern Division Pitcher of the Week. He struck out 11.
Shippensburg University women's basketball guard Ariel Jones was named the PSAC Eastern Division Freshman of the Week for the eighth straight time after averaging 25.7 points, 4 rebounds. 4.3 steals, 2.6 assists and a block over three games last week. She leads the PSAC in scoring.
IUP's Megan Smith (West Perry) was named the PSAC Western Division Athlete of the Week in women's basketball. The senior forward averaged 23.3 points and 5.7 rebounds in a 3-0 week.
Messiah senior swimmer Katie Wingert was named the MAC Women's Swimmer of the Week, her second this season, after she was named the MAC Swimmer of the Year at the 2018 MAC Swimming Championships on Sunday. She won gold in the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay, 200 free relay and 400 free relay, breaking six MAC Championship records in the process.
Eastern sophomore Nicole Weenick (Mechanicsburg) was named the MAC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week after winning the long jump (5.2 meters) and triple jump (10.72 meters) at the Keogh Invitational.
Messiah senior Carrie Fix was named the MAC Commonwealth Pitcher of the Week. She lasted six innings in with seven strikeouts in an 8-1 win over Methodist.
