Wingert sets 50 free record at MAC championships
- Messiah women’s swimming ended Friday’s portion of the MAC Championships in first (202 points) thanks to a gold-medal finish and two silvers. Kaitlyn Wingert set a MAC record with a 23.57 in the 50 free and could qualify for the NCAA championships with the time. Teammate Cassie Cotton was right behind in second (23.78). Kaylee Hollenbach added the final medal finish with second in the 200 IM in 2:10.69. The Falcons have a 22.5 point edge on second-place Widener.
- The Messiah men’s swim team is currently second (218.5 points) in the conference championship. The 400 medley relay set a program record of 3:33.70 to finish third, while Nolan McArdie also came in third in the 200 IM in 1:56.52.
- Dickinson women’s squash won their College Squash Association Team Championships opener 6-3 against Colby. Abbie Wingerd, Stuart Lemay, Eloise Nimoityn, Jaime Leigh Edghill, Carley Barton and Domenica Romo won their flights.
