Carlisle High School graduate Chris Wuestner has received a football scholarship at Pitt, Wuestner told The Sentinel Thursday.

Wuestner went to Pitt as a preferred walk-on this season after catching 52 passes for 880 yards and nine touchdowns as a senior last year for the Thundering Herd.

He missed his entire junior season at Carlisle due to a hip injury, which caused him to fall off the radar of most Division I FBS programs.

"I'm very thankful and humbled by the decision to give me a scholarship," Wuestner said.
