Michaela Cotton (3-for-4) tripled, scored twice and drove in four runs for the victors, while Payton Ebersole went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and three runs. Mackenzie Hoffer (3-for-4) homered, drove in five and scored twice for the Colts. The win could be big for the Polar Bears (14-6), who were 17th in the District 3 Class 5A power rankings entering the day, one spot out of the playoffs and 0.011 percentage points behind Palmyra.
