Many things bring teams closer together. Whether it’s winning big games, giving buddies gifts before games, team dinners or even losing close games.
For us, all of these bring our team closer.
On Friday night we battled against a very tough Bishop McDevitt team and the outcome came just short of a win. This loss really hurt us because for one, nobody likes to lose, especially on their home court. Second, it now changed our league standing. This loss also opened up our eyes of how we need to become more focused for our road ahead.
Our team definitely has something special with the amount of support we all give each other. Whether it be in school, in practice, games or anywhere. We are always there for each other. There’s always someone to say some encouraging words when someone isn’t having the best game or practice.
All this support is what makes a loss easier to handle. We know we can’t get the last game back, but it fuels a fire in our hearts to go out the next game and leave it all on the court. Lucky for us, we got another chance at competition on Saturday.
If we all have each others backs I know we can accomplish great things. We just have to stay focused and keep working hard.
