East Pennsboro's Onasis Neely In My Words

We practiced well all week. We were so excited to play one last time in front of our students and community. They’ve shown us so much support during the season. Thank you so much East Penn Nation and the class of 2018 for being there for us through the ups and the downs. We really appreciate your support.

I’m going to miss playing at The Sax — it’s where our high school hopes and dreams started. That field will always have a special place in my heart. The Sax is where it all started. We made history on that field, beating Middletown in 2015 when we were all sophomores just wanting to make an impact.

Last year camp hill beat us pretty bad on their senior night. We wanted to return the favor. We had this game circled on our calendar. When we noticed that we would be playing them on Friday Night Rivals, it made the game that much more interesting. We wanted to leave our mark in the school trophy case. That’s the second trophy our team has placed in the trophy case. It meant something to us. Playing against Nick Perry, Quinn Buffington, Zach Kuntz and Nate Teeter was really fun. I enjoyed playing against them. We played together during youth ball so it was good to have one last go.

Defensively, we are rolling. It started slow, but now we are rolling and that’s a huge credit to our defensive coach, coaching staff and our defensive players. We built from four weeks of only giving up one TD in the first half, to a shutout victory. Our defense is playing really well. I’m so glad to watch them come together and earn that shut out. Yahiness was chasing the QB on every play it seemed like. Our DBs were flying around and our linebackers were hunting down the ball.

Offensively, we were on fire. Nick Nugent put a huge spin move on the defender and was gone, Noah showed why he’s the fastest on the team, Peyton ran one in and Nik Karoly has been playing huge for us all season long. Our offensive line was playing very well. Tyler Radabaugh went down during the game. I’m hoping he can get back in the line up. He’s been giving us his heart out there on every play.

On senior night what more could you ask for? Winning the game and celebrating with everyone, everybody scoring and making defensive plays. We were all just so happy to see each other happy. We have one more week to notch off that short term goal that was set for us in Week 5. Right now we’re 4-0 and we have one more week to finish our season, our way. The way we planned.
