Nathan McKenna In My Words

The Trinity Shamrocks, made up of a collection of different schools, are headed into this season excited to see what it has in store for us. Last year’s team fell short of the RothRock Cup, losing in the semifinals against Susquehannock. This years team is hungry for a shot of redemption this season.

Every season our team has players come and go. In the beginning it’s always great to see us get to know each other, since we’re from different schools and many don’t even know each other. We have to quickly come together as a team since we come from different schools and have other sports obligations. This season we had two scheduled scrimmages to help us prepare. After the end of the preseason it had us ready and prepared for some Shamrock redemption.

The first game unfortunately was a loss as we played a close game, 10-8, and this wasn’t the start we wanted to the season. The team realized that we didn’t have an easy season ahead of us and that we must work hard for our goal.

After a couple good practices our team was more prepared and had a better mindset about the next game. The next game we ended up beating Penn Manor 8-4 with a great team win. This got everyone excited about what’s to come and showed that we’re on our way to a successful season.
