Although this past week started with an all too familiar rainy day, we finished off the week with three solid wins, helping us gain momentum heading into the latter half of our season. On Monday we were met with some weather difficulties about 45 minutes into our match against Trinity, so we are going to finish up the rest of the matches on Thursday this week.
The next day we had a match at Susquehanna, who was undefeated at the time so everyone on the team was excited for a challenging match, one we can use to build some momentum for our matches later that week. Each person on our team came to play that day and we ended up getting a 5-0 victory with our second doubles team battling back from a set down and winning a hard fought match in three sets.
Wednesday marked our third match in a row, this time at East Penn, and both teams were undefeated at this point so we knew this was a very important match for the Mid-Penn standings. We were able to win all five of our matches, each of them hard fought, with a few of them going down to the wire in the third set.
After a day off on Thursday, we were on the road again against Middletown and our team continued to stay sharp and focused, departing with another 5-0 victory. Looking back I was very proud of the way the team performed in a week packed with matches and the three wins we acquired will play a big role in setting the tone as we finish up the year.
