As the golf season comes to a close, a new season opens up. The cold, wet weather brings everyone inside for another basketball season. It’s time to put the clubs in the basement and lace up to hit the floor.
My experience on the Trinity basketball team has been great. We’ve had three great years of fun, close teams and outstanding accomplishments. This year we’re hoping to keep that going. We’re out to set a new school record this year: most consecutive district championships. We’ve already won four straight twice, but now it’s time to make it five.
We lost some key seniors last year. They were all great on both sides of the ball, making us tough to beat. However, I think we’re all ready to step up and fill those roles.
I believe we have a good shot at going out and getting a fifth consecutive district championship this year. We’ve been working really hard this offseason, both in the gym and in the weight room. We’re very close on and off the floor and I think this chemistry and bond between us will push us forward to go out and have the success that we’ve had in recent years.
We had a very good summer league and we’ve been playing well in the scrimmages that we’ve had so far. The anticipation for early December is building and it couldn’t come soon enough.
