This week we had three meets.
Tuesday was our meet against Mifflin County. After a long trip, we had some good swims and both the boys and girls came away with wins. Thursday was our meet with Boiling Springs and our Senior Night. It was a fun night, and I thought everyone swam well with some personal bests coming for some people. The boys got a win, but the girls did not have the depth that Boiling Springs did and they fell short.
We had our Senior Night at Boiling Springs because our pool was still being worked on. I think we all appreciated the generosity of the Boiling Springs team. They had decorations for us and made us feel like it was a home meet. It was very special for me because Boiling Springs was where I did a lot of my swimming as an independent swimmer when I went to a non-swim school. It was fun for me to have my Senior Night at a place that helped me so much in my early high school years.
Our final meet was on Friday against Mechanicsburg. It was easy to see that most of our swimmers were tired from having three meets in one week. Regardless, both the boys and girls got wins in the meet.
This week we have a meet at Cumberland Valley on Tuesday. It is always good to swim in a fast pool, especially just before we swim there for Mid-Penn’s in a few weeks. This is the time of the year that you prepare for all season and I am excited for everyone to see their times drop in the coming weeks.
