West Shore gave up three straight goals between the first and second periods and could not recover Wednesday night, falling 8-4 to Central Dauphin.
The Bears Division play-in game loss knocks West Shore out of the postseason, while CD will go on to face No. 1 Lower Dauphin on Friday.
The decisive stretch saw the Rams break a 1-1 tie into a 4-1 advantage on goals by Brenden Yingling, Deryck Zerby and Ethan Hoover.
Hoover was involved in nearly every goal, scoring once in the second quarter while adding four assists. Zerby finished with a hat trick.
West Shore got two goals from Connor Winiski in the second period, including one on the power play, to keep the score 5-3 entering the final stanza. Jesse Troutman had two assists.
The only local team left in the CPIHL playoffs is Rothrock Division third-seed Shamrocks, which plays Monday against No. 2 Central York.
