Riley Johnson notched the No. 3 Shamrocks' first goal just 2:38 into the first period, but No. 2 Central York proved to be too much in a 9-1 blowout in the first round of the CPIHL Rothrock Divison playoffs.
Just under five minutes after Johnson got the first goal of the game, Central York's Levi Crerand notched an unassisted goal at 7:04. The goal led to a flurry of nine unanswered goals for Central York, with Crerand, Jacob Nagy and Abraham Miller each tallying two goals in the win.
The Shamrocks fall into the elimination bracket and will take on No. 4 Lampeter-Strasburg Feb. 21 at a time to be determined.
