Greyhounds: 6-4, 3-3 Mid-Penn Colonial
Crusaders: 8-2, 6-0 Mid-Penn Keystone
Time/location: 7 p.m. Friday, Rocco Ortenzio Stadium, Lower Paxton Twp.
Last time: 29-28, Shippensburg (2016 District 3 Class 4A semifinals)
Next round: Winner of No. 6 Lampeter-Strasburg (6-4) at No. 3 Northern Lebanon (9-1)
Breakdown: Two teams trending in largely different directions since last year’s miracle upset at War Memorial Stadium. Junior QB Chase Diehl (123-168, 2,155 yards, 23 TDs) has been masterful all season for the Crusaders, who played much of the season with little in the way of a run game. Except now senior RB Qualik Davis has come on with 30 carries, 367 yards and five TDs over the past two games. McDevitt can score with the best of them.
Key to the game: Ship’s best chance is to make this a shootout, because the defense will be challenged to hold McD under 25 points. Vintage Carter Van Scyoc (124-245, 1,505 yards, 17 TDs) is a must if the Greyhounds are to stand a chance in this.
