Cumberland Valley remained unbeaten in the early season after a 4-0 victory over another previously unbeaten school, Carlisle, in Mid-Penn Commonwealth field hockey action Monday evening. Sam Krebs' unassisted goal was the only for either side in the first half, though the Eagles (4-0, 3-0) piled on after halftime. Krebs assisted on back-to-back tallies by Maddie Brown-Schere and Hannah Huffman before Sydney Rimmer's unassisted goal finished the triumph over the Herd (2-1, 1-1), who were out-shot 17-0.
Boiling Springs blasted past Waynesboro 6-0 behind two goals each from Devan Eickhoff, Chloe Eltringham and Paige Bond. Bond also added an assist, while Brinn Mancuso dished out a pair of assists for the Bubblers (3-1, 3-0) in this Mid-Penn Colonial clash.
Big Spring also picked up a Colonial victory with a 2-0 win against Greencastle-Antrim. Brooke Roberts and Sami Meacock both scored in the first half for the Bulldogs (2-3, 2-1), while goalie Jaime Yaukey (three saves) made sure those goals stood up.
East Pennsboro rocked non-league foe Northern Lebanon 3-1, with Gery Schnarrs contributing a goal and an assist for the Panthers (3-0). Leah Wenrich and Aimee Buffington also scored for East Penn, which went ahead on Scharrs' goal early in the second half.
Shippensburg blanked CD East 2-0 with goals in each half from Kourtney Shoop and Zoe Holtry. Dez Neal's four saves preserved the shutout for the Greyhounds.
