Nanticoke: District 2 champion (25-1, Wyoming Valley Conference Division 2)

Notes: Nanticoke beat Dallas 55-54 in District 2 semis, then routed Berwick 52-33 in title game. Started season 15-0 and is outscoring opponents by an average of 26.8 ppg.

Top players: For the Trojans: They run out five guards, led by 5-foot-9 Riley Klepadlo (16.9 ppg), the team’s tallest player and a do-everything talent. Klepadlo missed last season with torn ACL and will play at Wilkes University. Had 15 points, 18 rebounds, seven steals and six assists in final home game and 15 points in district championship... Kayla Aufiero (17.4 ppg) scored 18 against Berwick, 5-2 Lisa Radziak had 10. Veteran cast that brings Alyssa Lewis off the bench, capable of double digits every night... For the Mustangs: Led by senior center Gracie Stauffer (14.6 ppg) and guard Meredith Brown (13.2). Haylee Reisinger leads with 39 3-pointers (team has just 58)... Brown and Stauffer held to 14 combined points in losses to Bishop McDevitt and Lancaster Catholic.
