Notes: Penn Hills beat Bethel Park 43-29 in Friday’s first round. Has won 17 of last 18, including 16-game win streak before a Bethel Park 41-36 loss two games ago in WPIAL semifinals; Cedar Cliff toppled Altoona 51-34, erasing an 11-0 deficit to start the game.

Top players: For the Indians: Coached by Robert Cash. Senior Desiree Oliver, ranked No. 94 by ESPN in the class of 2017 (and No. 20 guard), had 25 points, nine rebounds, six steals and eight assists in Friday’s win. Stands 5-foot-7 and has committed to Temple. ... For the Colts: Once again a balanced scoring effort to beat Altoona on Friday, led by Maddie Sitler (6.3 ppg) and Jannelle Robinson (6.4) with 10 points each. Leading scorer Rachael Reilly (8.4) had eight points in the win. Team averages 45.6 points, with five players north of 5.0 ppg.
