Big Spring's Megan Emlet passes during the second half against Boiling Springs on Tuesday night at Big Spring High School

After leading her team back to the District 3 playoffs, Big Spring senior Megan Emlet committed to Susquehanna, according to an email from her family.

She finished the season averaging 6.5 points. The Bulldogs bounced back from a 2016-17 season that saw them finish under .500, finishing this season 16-7 and second in the Mid-Penn Colonial. They were knocked out of the first round of the District 3 Class 5A playoffs by Twin Valley 54-27. 

Emlet, a three-sport athlete who also played for the Central PA Elite AAU team, was third on the Bulldogs in scoring. According to here parents, the National Honor Society member will major in childhood education.

Susquehanna plays in the Landmark Conference. The Division III program, coached by Jim Reed in his 13th year in charge, went 11-13 this season. Emlet will team up with fellow Mid-Penn product Maggie Wilson (Mifflin County).
