SHIPPENSBURG — Shippensburg University will hold a series of homecoming activities Saturday, Oct. 26. This year’s theme is “Where Stars Are Born.”

Events will include the sixth annual SU Homecoming Service Project at King’s Kettle Food Pantry, the 34th annual SU Army ROTC 5k or 10k Run, a tailgate party and the Red Raider football game, the President’s Postgame Supper, volleyball, women’s soccer, men’s soccer, the MSA Greek Yard Show and the Australian Bee Gees concert.

Other events hosted by the student committee during homecoming week, which begins Monday, Oct. 21, include comedy presentations, Battle of the Campus, a lip-sync contest, the naming of the homecoming king and queen and the Multicultural Affairs Committee Homecoming Weekend Party.

In addition, the student SU Homecoming Committee donates money collected during homecoming week to a philanthropy. Last year, students raised more $10,000 for the Better Days Animal League and Women In Need, of Chambersburg. This year, the committee will make a donation to the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
