I have had the honor and privilege to serve on the Camp Hill Borough council for the past five years. During that time, we as council have accomplished many favorable things for Camp Hill — from park projects to Market Street improvements to keeping the borough financially sound.
As someone who likes to “get stuff done,” I am proud of the work I and my fellow council members have done to move the borough forward.
I believe we have made much progress, and I am excited to keep the momentum going. For this reason, I am seeking your vote in my bid for re-election to borough council on Nov. 7. I hope you will encourage your friends and neighbors to vote for me as well. With your support, I can continue the challenging and rewarding work that lies ahead to benefit our great community.
My experience includes: Finance committee, Seibert Park Project; Co-chair, Strategic Planning Committee; Chair, Parks and Recreation Committee; Member, School District/Borough Committee; Chair, Codes and Zoning Committee; Co-chair, Market Street Improvement Committee
My future goals include: Fiscal stability – find alternate funding streams for projects so as not to rely on taxes; Efficiency – use technology to help our staff and work force become more efficient; Economic Development – recruitment and retention of merchants on Market Street; Infrastructure – preventive maintenance of our waste water and sewer systems to avoid collapse and high repair costs.
Thank you for you vote on Nov. 7.
Leigh Twiford is a candidate for Camp Hill Borough Council.
