• Services for Orie Daniel Cline, 74, of Gardners, will be held at 2 p.m. Aug. 23 at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, Gabler's Road, Gardners.

    He died Sunday, Aug. 10, 1997 in Carlisle Hospital.

    Mr. Cline was a paper maker for Kimberly Clark.

    He was a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, Gardners and a member of Mt. Tabor Cemetery Association.

    Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Betty J. Hackenberg Cline; a son, Gary L. of Carlisle; two daughters, Dixie A. Shambaugh and Wendy LeBlanc both of Carlisle; a brother, Oliver of Gardners; a sister, Veryl Miller of Carlisle; and 10 grandchildren.

    Graveside services will follow the service in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Gardners.

    The Cremation Society of Harrisburg is handling the arrangements.



  • Frank W. Fraker, 74, of York Township, died Monday, Aug. 11, 1997 in his home. His wife is Beatrice R. Wert Fraker.

  • Services for Dale L. Shambaugh, 52, of Huxley, Texas, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Myers Funeral Home, 37 E. Main St., Mechanicsburg.

    He died Sunday, Aug. 10, 1997 in his home.

    Born Feb. 7, 1945 in Harrisburg, he was the son of Florence Rickard Thomas of Mechanicsburg and the late George G. Shambaugh.

    A 1963 graduate of Cumberland Valley High School and Stephen F. Austin University, Nacogdoches, Texas, Mr. Shambaugh was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.

    In addition to his mother, he is survived by a stepfather, Christian Earl Thomas of Mechanicsburg.

    The Rev. William C. Butts will officiate at Thursday's service. Burial will be in Shoops Cemetery, Lower Paxton Township.

    Friends may call from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
