• Services and burial for Betty J. Hunter, 61, of 4586 Creek Road, RD 4, Duncannon, will be held at the convenience of the family.

    She died Sunday, Aug. 3, 1997 at home.

    Born April 7, 1936 in Clark's Summit, she was a daughter of the late William and Minnie Mears Covey and the widow of Robert E. Hunter.

    Surviving are two sons, Robert W. and Steven E., both of Duncannon; a daughter, Janet Gochenaur of Newport; a sister, Janet Fort of Levittown; and two grandchildren.

    Arrangements are being handled by Boyer Funeral Home, 230 N. High St., Duncannon.



  • Richard T. Lustick, 74, of 201 Meadow Blvd., Carlisle, died Monday, Aug. 4, 1997 in the Carlisle Hospital.

    Born July 5, 1923 in Westmoreland County, he was a son of the late Joseph and Jennie Clark Lustick.

    Mr. Lustick was a graduate of Bethel Park High School, Bethel Park and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving in the European theater. He was retired from C.H. Masland and Sons with 37 years of service.

    He was a member of Good Shepherd Community United Methodist Church, Carlisle; a life member of the VFW Post 8851, Boiling Springs, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 1299, Carlisle; and AARP.

    Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Jeannette E. Todd Lustick; a son, Richard R. of Broomfield, Colo. a grandson; one uncle; and two aunts.

    Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle with the Rev. William E. Pipp officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, West Pennsboro Township.

    Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

  • Nellie I. Sites, 77, of 75 Oak Grove Drive, Fairfield, died Monday, Aug. 4, 1997 at Gettysburg Hospital.

    Born Feb. 19, 1920 in Hamiltonban Township, she was a daughter of the late Harry D. and Ella Smaltz Reid.

    Mrs. Sites retired from the Fairfield Post Office in 1985 after 31 years of service. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.

    Surviving are her husband, A. Kenneth Sites; two daughters, Annette I. Bolze of Carlisle and Darlene K. Myers of New Oxford; two sons, Terry R. of Orrtanna and K. Ronald of Las Vegas, Nev.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a number of great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

    Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in her church with the Rev. John K. Burk officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Union Cemetery, Fairfield.

    Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

  • Graveside services for Ralph R. Steele, 68, of 454 Highland Ave., Chambersburg, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg.

    He died Sunday, Aug. 3, 1997 in Chambersburg Hospital.

    Born Dec. 7, 1928 in Drill, Va., he was a son of the late Henry and Angie Johnson Steele and the widower of Virginia A. Shaffer Steele, who died Feb. 11, 1996.

    Mr. Steele was a graduate of Honaker High School, Honaker, Va. He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot in December 1992 after 43 years of service, where he was a radar technician, division chief of electronics and an equipment specialist with CTX for HAWK missiles.

    After retiring he became a consultant for SUMMA Technology Inc. as a HAWK logistic specialist.

    He was a U.S. Army veteran and had been affiliated with the Baptist Church in Virginia.

    He was a member of Goodwill Fire Company, the Hume-McBeil-Byers AMVETS Post No. 224, Veterans of Vietnam War Post No. 41, and a life member of the Burt J. Asper Post No. 46 American Legion, all of Chambersburg.

    Surviving are three daughters, Linda Maguyon at home, Crystal "Bunny" Davis of Chambersburg and Lisa Seiders of Philadelphia; a sister, Thelma Parker of Winston-Salem, N.C.; three brothers, Mike of Dayton, Ohio, John of Bluefield, W.Va. and Dan of Chesapeake, Va. nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by a son, Ralph E. Steele, a granddaughter, and three brothers, Elmer, Claude and Allen.

    The Rev. Dr. Roy L. Seiders will officiate at Thursday's service. There will be no viewing or visitation.

  • Services for Nguyen "Sue" Thi Stott, 47, of Plainfield, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle.

    She died Thursday, July 31, 1997.

    Born Dec. 31, 1949 in Vietnam, she was a daughter of Nguyen Van Thai and the late Le Thi Chieu.

    An employee of Masland Industries, Carlisle, she was a member of Vietnam Alliance Church, Harrisburg.

    Surviving are a daughter, Bobbie Lee Stovall of Hanau, Germany, and several other family members in Vietnam.

    Nguyen Tan Phuoc will officiate at Thursday's service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
