- Wayne L. Wadel Sr., 68, of 5 Summit Dr.,
Shippensburg, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 1997 in Carlisle Hospital.
Born May 3, 1929 in Southampton Township, Franklin County, he was a son of the late William P. and Anna P. Shriner Wadel.
He was the widower of Mildred J. Dunlap Wadel, who died March 24, 1988.
An Army veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Wadel was a mason and owned and operated his own construction and masonary contracting business in the Shippensburg area for many years.
He was a member of Lurgan United Brethren Church.
Surviving are his second wife, Janet Swartz Arnold Wadel; two sons, Wayne L. Jr. and Ronald A. Sr., both of Shippensburg; one daughter, Loudenis Beidel of Newburg; five stepsons, Clinton P. and Keith A. Arnold, both of Chambersburg, Stephen J. Arnold of Newburg, Edward L. Arnold of York Haven and Alan W. Arnold of Mainsville; two brothers, Ira H. and John M., both of Shippensburg; three sisters, Julia E. Wadel and Anna Mary Weaver, both of Shippensburg, and Nellie Lehman of Chambersburg; seven grandchildren; two great-grand- children; and nine stepgrand- children.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and one stepgranddaughter.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Lurgan United Brethren Church, 7607 Roxbury Road, Shippensburg, with the Rev. Ed Calhoun officiating.
Burial will be in Otterbein Cemetery, Lurgan Township, Franklin County.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, 112 W. King St., Shippensburg, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

- Ethel F. Cornman, 82, of 803 Sandbank Road,
Mt. Holly Springs, died Friday, Aug. 29, 1997 at home.
Born Jan. 13, 1915 in Dickinson Township, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Grace Dunlap Frehn.
Mrs. Cornman was a member of Mt. Holly Springs Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Leroy H. Cornman; one daughter, Darlene J. Ramond of Carlisle; one sister, Edith Shetron of Newville; and two grand- children.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in her church with the Rev. Michael L. Lozano officiating.
Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, North Middle- ton Township. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Gibson-Hollinger Funeral Home, Mt. Holly Springs, is handling arrangements.

She died Thursday, Aug. 28, 1997 in Carlisle Hospital.
Born March 10, 1926 in Hagerstown, Md., she was a daughter of the late James and Minnie Campbell Green. She was the widow of Arthur W. Campbell, who died in 1980.
She was a member of Minnequa Club of Hagerstown, Order of Owls of Greencastle, AMVETS of Carlisle and the ladies' auxiliaries of Moose Lodge 235, Eagles 1299 and American Legion Post 674.
Surviving are her daughter, Teresa A. Searfoss of Carlisle; two sons, Larry J. and James E. Barnhart, both of Carlisle; and three grandchildren.
Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, North Middle- ton Township.
Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
